FAQs for visiting Tanzania

Posted on April 17, 2018

1. What’s the best time of year to go there?

We wouldn’t encourage you to visit in March or April – it’s too wet. Best months for game viewing are the dry season (June – October) or when the short rains occur in the southern Serengeti and the animals calve.

2. How may parks should I visit?

This depends on how long your trip is – ideally, we recommend a 10 – 14 day trip visiting 2 - 3 parks.

3. How do we travel through Tanzania?

It’s a massive area so don't attempt to drive right across the country. Either stick to one region or fly between the parks.

4. What’s the best part of Tanzania to visit?

Definitely visit Tarangire and Serengeti if it’s your first visit, but there are so many options, depending on time of year and season – It’s best to discuss your trip with us.

5. What else should we see in Tanzania?

Don't forget the beaches! Zanzibar offers beautiful barefoot luxury with swimming diving sailing and a fascinating cultural history. And Lake Victoria offers yet another culturally historical side of the country.
